December

Holiday outfits are a favorite around here. This year, everyone had hand-me-down festive clothes, we got a few new pair of tights and some fresh ribbons and we were good to go!  Here are the girls before church one week. 

December started out with a weekend in midway and a family party with the Hawkins. It was "Polar Express" themed and all the kids were so cute in their jammies. 

 Gifts of the heart with the Baumans. Blake and Di made it a memorable night by choreographing a dance to Feliz Navidad. 

 Lots of snow! The girls love tromping around in the backyard playing. 

Sweet Hannah is 10 months old. We love her sweet disposition and her toothy little smile. 

The Shields Fam had their traditional "surprise dinner". It's always an adventurous meal. Brett went crazy on us and showed up with Taco Bell. Ha! 

The elves brought all the adults new gloves, Natalie was so excited they brought gifts she was "praising" people left and right. Good laughs were had by all. 

For our first time, we acted out the Nativity as our own little family. This is going to be a keeper, we had so much fun. I can already see robes and aden and anais blankets coming out of the closets for many years to come. 

 CHRISTMAS MORNING! Santa brought new sled, a dream light and a play kitchen with all the cooking and cleaning accessories you can dream of. The girls raced straight to the closet to see the lights project. 

 We spent a beautiful day snowmobiling up at Daniels Summit with the Shields Fam. Thanks to Grandma Shields for watching our girls. 

 The extended Bauman party had a jazz band and dancing. 

The extended Shields party had a memorable talent show. (Belts and sleighride, need I say more?}

The extended Nichols party had photos with grandma and the kids made their own musical instruments. 

My little siblings Colton and Natalie hosted our ugly sweater party this year. Ugly and nasty clothes, but good fun and GREAT memories. 

Grandparent sleepovers at Christmas time are Becca's favorite event of the year. Allison has to be potty trained to attend, but she can't to join in on the fun of the Bauman Polar Express or the Shields Sleepover by the Christmas Tree. 

Dave sold his Nissan and bought a Honda Accord. Thank heavens, because he had  a lot of cold mornings jumpstarting his car this winter! Dave and I had our annual date to the MOTab Christmas concert. It's on our anniversary weekend, so we always like to go!

It was a BUSY month. But we had a lot of fun and more importantly, we made a lot of memories with the people we love most! Bring on a new year!
