Setting up tents in bad places: Post 1

We had a fun labor day weekend of camping! On Friday night we met up with my "Logan Family." Basically a huge group of friends from USU, who all ended up marrying each other. Justin and Shandy had a cabin where some people slept and others set up tents.
Me, Andrea, Jamie, Kelly, Maren, and Shandy
 All the babies...

We had a lot of fun playing croquet, horse shoes, swinging, eating yummy food and most of all sleeping in a tent! Dave and I found a perfect spot for our tent. It has a broken zipper door (from Zions this summer) and we have yet to get it fixed. So we found a green, lush, grassy area  (pictured below....) and faced the door away from society.

Unfortunately we got rallied by some powerful sprinklers bright and early in the morning. We woke Becca up, scrambled like crazy to get everything out of the tent to a dry spot, and even carried our whole tent out of the way.
Just as we sat down and starting laughing- cha ching- the sprinklers turned off. OF COURSE!

Thanks everyone for planning! We had a blast!
Thanks Jamie and Maren for your pictures...

those are some of the best times for me.. reuniting with old friends. Looks like fun, despite the bad placement of the tent!
